Which is better in English or Japanese when you are going to write the resume? My advice is Japanese. fluently or not. Here are some reasons.
読み手 Reader
面接官が英語の履歴書に慣れてるかはわかりません。
英語の履歴書のフォームはわりと自由なので読むのに時間をとられます。またそれは自己の能力と経歴のアピールになることが多いのです。しかし現場では日本語を用いて仲間とチームワークを重じて仕事ができる方が大事です。日本語で書かれていれば、たとえ流暢でなくても日本語で頑張ろうという誠意が伝わります。
It is not sure that the interviewer is good at English or not. The English resume is free writing compared to the typical Japanese one, it takes much time to read it. I don’t say it is not efficient your skill, ability etc.., but in Japan, the team work cooperation is strongly required at the restaurant you are going to work. So most important thing is reaching your passion to interviewer’s heart. So which is better?

履歴書の中身を日本語で尋ねられたら、日本語能力があるというアピールも含めて日本語で返事をするほうがよいに決まっています。そうであれば、履歴書に書かれている内容が英語だと、面接する方がいちいち翻訳しなくてはならず効率的でありません。
The Interview will be hold by Japanese language. If translation exists, it takes much time, pretty hard for interviewer.

仕事は日本語で教わります。英語で教えてもらえることも教える側が流暢なら可能ですが、それも最初だけです。キャリアを積むにつれて、日本語能力がどんどん必要になってきます。
